About Us

The Algiers Neighborhood Presidents Council consists of the presidents of individual neighborhood organizations who work together to preserve Algiers neighborhoods and for the general benefit of the residents of Algiers and the city of New Orleans.
 
Our members work on issues such as Zoning and Code Enforcement, Economic Development, Education, Crime Prevention and Civic Engagement. We also collaborate with elected officials and civic and business organizations to address issues and to keep our neighborhoods informed.
 
Algiers is in the 15th Ward of the City of New Orleans, City Council District C  and the 4th District of the New Orleans Police Department.
