The NOPD 4th District will have a new commander as of January 3, 2015. As part of Chief Harrison's realignment of the NOPD leadership team, it was announced on December 30, 2015 that 4th District Commander Shaun Ferguson will become the Commander of the Second District. His replacement is Ceasar Ruffin, who currently serves as the Assistant Commander of the Fourth District, will become the Commander of the Fourth District. Algiers has enjoyed an excellent relationship with the NOPD 4th District under Commander Ferguson's leadership. We look forward to continued good relations with Commander Ruffin.
