MAYOR LANDRIEU’S OFFICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO HOST BUSINESS INFORMATION SESSIONS

NEW ORLEANS, LA—
On Wednesday, May 1, 2013, Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s Office of Economic Development will kick off another series of Business Information Sessions designed to connect local entrepreneurs and business owners with useful tools and resources.

“We’re pleased to offer these sessions as part of our ongoing efforts to support the development and growth of local businesses,” said Mayor Mitch Landrieu.  “When our businesses succeed, our economy strengthens, more residents gain jobs, and we grow the tax base that pays for essential city services.”

These sessions will allow interested business owners to learn more and ask questions about programs such as the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative and the New Orleans Small Business Assistance Fund, and services such as the City’s new One Stop Shop for licenses and permits.  One session will take place in each City Council district. All are open to the public and individuals can attend any or all sessions.
